FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is the food at EDEN vegan?

Yes, our menu is 100% vegan. We do not use eggs, dairy, meat or honey.

Can I bring my non-vegan family and friends and will they enjoy it?

Yes, please do! We strive to make our menu as diverse and exciting as possible, with something to suit all preferences. Here’s a recent review from Isaac_S on Google: “There are many vegan options to choose from, and as a meat eater I can comfortably say that I did not miss the lack of non-vegan options.”

Are there gluten-free options available?

Yes, majority of our dishes are either gluten free or can easily be made gluten free (e.g. by swapping to GF bread). Keep an eye out for the GF icon on our menu. On the weekends we have a big array of cakes GF aswell. Please do note our kitchen handles gluten. We also request that you inform us of any specific dietary requirements when ordering.

Are there nut-free options available?

Yes, many of our dishes do not contain nuts. However, please keep in mind that our kitchen handles nuts on a daily basis. Please inform us of your allergy and its severity on ordering and we will do our best to assist.

Do I need to book in advance?

Depends on day and time, for all of our afternoon teas will need to be booked 24 hours notice, we highly recommend booking a table on the weekend as we can get full.

Where can I park?

There is some metered parking available on Waterloo Street itself, on Portland Street and on the far side of the B3129, along the edge of the Downs. If you’d prefer to park for free, your best bet is to head for Bristol Zoo — we’re a 15 minute walk away.

Do you take cash?

Unfortunately, we currently only take card payments.

Why do you refer to eggs in your menu title?

First and foremost, we believe in showcasing the amazing taste and versatility of eating plants. Whilst we do not seek to replicate meat or dairy based products in any of the food we offer, we do aim to be as inclusive as possible. For this reason, describing a texture or using a familiar term can make it easier for non-vegans and those adapting to a vegan diet.
